Feeding your Betta:
Your Betta has a very specific diet. He should be fed a food designed specifically for bettas, such as OSI Betta food. You can supplement this diet with San Francisco Bay Freeze-Dried Blood Worms or frozen blood worms. Also, live black worms make an excellent treat. They should be fed 4 to 5 worms or pellets once a day.
Water changing your Betta set-up:
The water in your Betta container needs to be replaced on a regular basis. If your container is 1 gallon or less you will need to change the water once a week. If it is greater than one gallon then you should change the water every two weeks. AZOO offers a water change kit that can make the process a little simpler. Otherwise, follow these steps:
Step 1 - pour some of the water from the container into a cup and place the Betta in it. Be sure to cover the cup so the Betta does not jump out.
Step 2 - Empty the container and clean with warm water if necessary. Do not use soap or any other household chemicals.
Step 3 - Fill the container with room temperature water and treat with Betta Bowl Essential.
Step 4 - Return the Betta to his container.
